Last month I made the largest painting in my record.
The 26 feet wide mural was made with no budget at my end. Materials,
supply, and helping hands were generously donated by supporters
in order for me to be able to paint what I consider the most beautiful
piece I have made. – The bigger, the better!
I made this mural specifically for the “Sand
by the Ton” event that brought thousands of people to Big
Art Studios in West Oakland.
Enjoy the mural movie below!
OPEN STUDIO!
Saturday August 21, 2010
10 AM - 7 PM
I will be hosting my first open studio on Saturday,
21st August, 2010, mainly to share the 26
feet mural with as many people as possible while the mural
is still there, as well as sharing other works I created over
the years.
Please make a reservation. I need the headcount
because I am preparing surprise gift bags for all guests and
need to know how many bags I need to prepare on that day. Let
me know how many of you are coming (click here
to contact me).
You can use the navigational address to get close
enough to find the building, “American Steel”:
Navigational Address:
1960 Mandela Pkwy
Oakland, CA 94607
PLEASE READ: The actual entrance
you should find is on 20th Street, between Mandela Parkway and
Poplar Street. You can park on the sides of 20th Street.
It is very easy to get lost in this huge warehouse.
I will try putting signs to guide you through so you can find
the way. Please save my cell phone number (786.624.8615) in
case you need me.
It is a huge industrial warehouse, currently used
for both heavy and light duty artists' work. Please know that
this is where Burning
Man is prepared. Wear something not fancy, especially the
shoes you wear should not be the nice ones.
